Carbon Dioxide and the Environment.

It is well known, even by school children, that trees and plants absorb Carbon Dioxide and release Oxygen. This is part of the balanced ecosystem of the planet earth. Of course, the balanced ecosystem is heavily compromised by the large amounts of carbon dioxide produced by vehicles and industry. So extra trees may be one method of restoring the balance.

It was previously believed that trees absorb the most carbon dioxide while growing, and that fully grown trees neither added or removed carbon dioxide. This idea was used to justify the harvesting of mature trees while were thought to be no longer helpful in the removal of carbon Dioxide. Unfortunately this understanding of trees has been questioned and discredited.

New research shows that many old trees absorb considerable amounts of carbon dioxide. Furthermore, the idea that trees reach a certain point where they stop growing is highly misleading. Trees continue to grow and continue to absorb carbon Dioxide even when they are decades old. Old trees are an important part of the environment.

The carbon dioxide stored in a tree is released back into the atmosphere if the timber from the tree is burnt or left to rot. The tree should have its timber used for building.

Kitchen compost machine

By turning kitchen waste into compost we are helping to grow more plants and trees. A kitchen waste recycling machine make use of waste and prevents it from simply decomposing, which would release carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere.

Consider a commercial food waste grinder for your business.
